Best Mattress For The Money List

Saatva Classic Mattress – Best Innerspring Mattress For The Money

Saatva Classic Mattress

On the hunt for a high-quality mattress with a great price tag, there’s no skipping Saatva. This luxury mattress brand has innovative models that almost anyone can enjoy. Yet, one model is more in-demand than the rest.

The brand’s most popular model is the Saatva Classic mattress or just Saatva. It has been on the steady rise as one of the best innerspring mattresses currently on the market.

The mattress owes its traditional innerspring feel to its base layer. Instead of just one layer of regular steel coils, the Saatva Classic has two coil layers. Oh, and they are all individually wrapped. These coils are great as they:

  • Make the bed more responsive.
  • Reduce motion transfer.
  • Amp up the support.
  • Promote better breathability throughout the structure.

Because of bounciness and cooling, no wonder that the bed is on our best mattress for hot sleepers. For couples as well.

But Saatva Classic is unique and special because it’s a highly versatile mattress. It doesn’t matter what your sleep preferences are. The mattress suits various sleeping styles. Not only can you choose its height profile (11.5″ or 14.5″), but you can also choose how firm you would like it to be.

The bed comes in 3 firmness options:

  • Plush Soft,
  • Luxury Firm, and
  • Firm.

Each of these options can suit different sleepers and body types. So if you’ve been wondering why we put this mattress on so many best mattress lists, now you know.

Ok, but with such an impressive design, this mattress has got to cost a lot of money, right? The total price for a Queen-sized Saatva Classic is $1,595. You can count on a 180-day sleep trial, a 15-year warranty, free shipping, and free white glove service! Not bad, right?

Keep in mind that only a few companies don’t charge for this service. It would be a shame if you don’t put the Saatva Classic on the list of your top options.

Why does the Saatva Classic mattress stand out?

  1. It’s a luxury hybrid innerspring model.
  2. It comes with a Free white glove delivery service
  3. Saatva features a dual-layer of pocketed coils.
  4. Available in 3 firmness levels and two height profiles.
  5. Perfect bed for various sleeper types, body weight, and couples.

Helix Midnight Mattress

Have you been looking for a mattress? You’ve probably already seen the Helix brand and its colorful mattress lineup. But as it’s usually the case, one model does stand out from the rest.

As the brand’s most popular model, the Helix Midnight scores high among sleepers. It has many things going for it:

✔ Fun, colorful design? Check.

✔ Impressive features? Check.

✔ Great price tag? Check.

But what makes this model more popular than the rest of the lineup?

The Helix Midnight mattress is a 12″ medium-firm hybrid model. Medium-firm models are usually great, as they can be a great fit with most sleeper types. Midnight is also ranked on our best mattress for couples list.

The Helix Midnight’s strength lies in its construction. It uses premium foams and 8″ wrapped coils to balance out comfort and support. The foams work to provide excellent pressure relief and promote healthy spinal alignment

So, the coils provide an extra dose of support across the mattress. As the coils are spread from one edge to the other, you don’t have to worry about falling off the bed. The coils are also the reason why the bed is very responsive. This, in turn, makes it easier for restless sleepers to move at night and is why it’s also on our best mattress for sex list.

DreamCloud Mattress – Best Cooling Mattress For The Money

DreamCloud Mattress

Claiming that a bed feels like clouds is one thing. Delivering on that description is another. Indeed, this mattress brand doesn’t mess around with its name.

The DreamCloud is a premium quality hybrid innerspring mattress. It provides out-of-worldly comfort and support. Since 2018, it has conquered the hearts of many sleepers thanks to its design, feel, and friendly price.

It has a cloud-like appearance, thanks to its stylish quilted foam and polyblend cover. One of the materials used in the cover is 100% organic Mongolian cashmere. Not only is this material incredibly soft to the touch, but it is also very breathable.

Under the cover is a plush memory foam layer that is very conforming to the body. Thanks to this layer, the DreamCloud mattress scores highly in pressure relief. Hence why you can find the mattress on our lists of best mattresses for hip pain, and our list of best mattresses for back pain.

The soft memory foam comfort layer is also remarkable for one more reason. It has a unique cooling gel that amplifies the cooling effect of the bed.

What sells this mattress is its base layer, or rather layers. The support system consists of two layers of individually wrapped coils. The coils’ main job is to provide support and responsiveness to the entire structure.

So not only can you switch positions much easier, but you don’t have to worry about sinking in the bed or falling off it. This is why you can find this model on our roundup for the best mattresses for sex.

Please note the fact that the pocketed coils also help with mattress breathability. Combined with cashmere and gel-infused layer, is it odd that it is one of our best cooling mattresses?

Why does the DreamCloud mattress stand out?

  1. 14″ tall luxe hybrid bed.
  2. Praised for its balance of comfort and support.
  3. DreamCloud comes with excellent benefits.

Layla Mattress – Best Reversible Mattress For The Money

Layla Mattress

Today, there are hundreds of memory foam mattresses on the market. But you need to have a unique angle to pop out. We like to say that this next mattress brand understood the assignment.

The Layla mattress is among the most popular memory foam mattresses on the market. It won over sleepers thanks to its superb pressure-relieving properties and motion transfer. It’s such a fantastic model that we’ve also included it on our best memory foam mattress roundup.

Yet, the Layla mattress’s strength lies in its innovative design. Layla is a reversible model, meaning that you flip the mattress and the firmness level. Two firmness options are great because, that way, it suits a wide variety of sleeper types.

The softer side contains a 3″ memory foam that is infused with copper. Being a thermoregulating metal, copper will absorb heat away from your body as you sleep. The memory foam is quite soft, and it tends to cradle the body, making it an excellent mattress for side sleepers

But, the firmer side is medium firm. It ranks 5.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale. This side is an excellent option for back sleepers, as it offers more support to the lumbar region.

Yes, this bed is reversible, and you probably think it must be on the more expensive side. Luckily that is not the case. The Layla mattress is an inexpensive flippable option with many fantastic benefits. You can even read about it in our best mattress under $949 roundup.

Why does the Layla mattress stand out?

  1. It’s a dual-sided memory foam model.
  2. Each side has a different firmness level.
  3. The foam is infused with copper to combat heat-trapping.
  4. Layla excels at pressure relief and motion transfer.
  5. Excellent bed for side, back, and budget-conscious sleepers.

Curious about even more features and benefits of Layla? Discover them from our detailed Layla mattress review.

Puffy Mattress – Best Soft Mattress For The Money

Puffy Mattress

Plush, homey, fluffy are all words one can associate with the word soft. So it’s fitting this next mattress has an appropriate name.

The Puffy mattress is an all-foam model that is a real treat for those that enjoy soft mattresses. With a firmness ranking of 6, you will feel as though you are “sleeping on a big, fluffy cloud” on your Puffy bed.

Though it’s only 10″ tall, it’s incredibly soft and liked by lightweight side and back sleepers. And for a good reason, too. In its comfort layer, Puffy has a 2″ gel-infused memory foam called the Cooling Cloud Memory foam. This particular foam is designed not to trap heat but to keep you cooler all night long.

Do you know what sells this mattress? Its foam has excellent body-conforming qualities. If you need extra cushioning, then the Puffy mattress will be your best choice. The Cooling Cloud Memory foam moves slow, meaning that it will form a cocoon around you. It will pinpoint areas where pressure is formed and relieve tension.

Another bonus point for the Cooling Cloud Memory foam? Yes, because the foam reacts slow, it can soak any sound or motion as you sleep. Fantastic news for those sleepers with fidgety partners!

One more for Puffy! This mattress is quite affordable and comes with many bonuses. It has free shipping, a lifetime warranty, and a lengthy trial period. Should you decide to return it, you’ll get a full refund.

Why does the Puffy mattress stand out?

  1. An affordable memory foam mattress.
  2. An incredibly soft-to-the-touch model
  3. It has a special gel-infused Cooling Cloud Memory foam.
  4. Praised highly for motion isolation and pressure relief.
  5. Perfect for lightweight side and back sleepers.

The Puffy mattress seems great, but there is even more than meets the eye. Find out in our full Puffy mattress review.

How to Choose the Best Mattress for the Price

This is our list of the best mattresses for the money! We hope that one of them is the right fit for you!

And if you aren’t sure about these choices, we prepared a guide on choosing the best mattress for the price. Let’s look at what affects the cost of the bed and what you should look for.

What Can Affect the Price of a Mattress?

This question is a bit tricky to answer as it depends on two factors:

  • Mattress size

There are six standard mattress sizes:

  • Twin,
  • Twin XL,
  • Full (Double),
  • Queen,
  • King,
  • California King.

And going by logic, different sizes are all priced differently. Most people buy Queen size, as it is large enough to fit two people, and you still save space in the bedroom.

  • Mattress type

There are five types of mattresses, which are:

  • All-foam (usually on the more affordable side, as the average Queen size is about $900)
  • Innerspring & Hybrids (pricier due to coils, though the latter can be costlier)
  • Latex (usually on the more luxurious side, as the material is quite more durable than foam)
  • Airbeds (on the pricey side, some models use innovative technology, which can bump the price).

Certain premium materials (high-density foams, natural latex, stainless steel) influence the price. Also, like in any industry, there are high staple brands with a more than decade-long history and a hefty price tag. One such example is Tempur-Pedic.

But, in short, it depends on your budget. You shouldn’t have to spend thousands of dollars, but you should spend more than $200.

Visit our other best mattress lists for more information.

What to Look for in a High-Value Mattress

Picking the best mattresses for the money is all about choosing a mattress that fits your preferences while still being in a reasonable price range. Here are some things you should watch out for to ensure you’re making a good bargain.

Support

Support is one of the most important aspects of a mattress, and the best mattresses for the money are those that keep your spine aligned.

A misaligned spine doesn’t only lead to inadequate sleep but can also affect your physical health. Painful back and shoulders are just some of the few things that could happen.

The support layer in the mattress, in combination with the comfort layers, should make for a supportive environment for your back. The right level of support is different for everyone; it depends on things like materials, sleeping position, weight, and other factors.

Firmness

Does your mattress feel soft or firm to you? Mattress firmness is a subjective feeling used to describe this.

Even though it’s subjective, there’s a firmness scale from 1 to 10 to help us out. The levels go from extra soft, soft, medium, medium-firm, firm, and extra firm. According to research, most people prefer a medium-firm bed.

However, it doesn’t mean you will as well. Perfect firmness usually depends on personal preferences, but it can also depend on body weight, sleeping position, and even temperature regulation. Average weight back sleepers, average weight stomach sleepers, and side sleepers all have different preferences.

For example, average-weight stomach sleepers need different firmness than side sleepers, and hot sleepers should sleep on a firmer mattress. So, is medium-firm really the right choice for you?

Durability

One thing you should watch out for if you want to get a good mattress for the money is – durability.

Mattresses don’t last forever! Depending on the type and specific materials they’re made from, mattresses can last from just a couple of years to even up to 10 years.

For example, foam beds, especially memory foam mattresses, aren’t that known for their durability. Since memory foam usually has low foam firmness, it tends to deteriorate faster. A soft mattress will last shorter than a medium-firm one. Innerspring mattresses also aren’t very durable.

The best mattress for a durable and comfortable experience is a latex mattress. It’s in the higher price range, but it will last the longest, especially if it’s made from natural latex, a very elastic and durable material. A hybrid mattress is also a good choice if you want an excellent long-lasting bed.

Contouring

A mattress that follows the shape of your body is essential in some situations. For example, side sleepers need a contouring bed.

The support layer will keep the spines of side sleepers aligned, but the comfort layer needs to be profoundly contouring to make this work. It needs to let their hips and shoulders sink.

Memory foam is the most contouring mattress type, but latex is a close second, although with a different feel. A hybrid with either of these on top can also be very contouring, but an innerspring isn’t a good choice if you want that deep contour. Contouring doesn’t depend on foam firmness – even a medium-firm bed can be contouring.

Keep in mind that deeply contouring mattresses aren’t the best for hot sleepers since there’s more contact with the skin.

Pressure Relief

Having a mattress that relieves pressure minimizes current pain and prevents painful joints in the future.

A mattress is supposed to spread your weight evenly to be comfortable, without pushing against your pressure pints too much. Pressure points can differ depending on the sleep position – for side sleepers, the pressure points are in the hips and shoulders. on the other hand, the biggest pressure point for stomach sleepers is their hips.

If you’re looking for a pressure-relieving mattress, a memory foam mattress is a way to go. Memory foam is soft and comfortable and can be found in the lower price range. A latex or a hybrid mattress can also be a good choice, but they’re not as affordable. A memory foam hybrid is in the lower price range compared to a latex hybrid. Lastly, an innerspring mattress can be found for cheap, but it’s not that good for your back pain.

Quality Materials

If you want to ensure you’re choosing the best mattresses for the money, be sure it’s made from high-quality materials.

Some materials are known for their quality, like natural latex. However, it’s in a higher price range in comparison to other materials. But don’t worry, not all quality materials are super expensive. There are a lot of more affordable options out there.

Most importantly, you have to do your research. Are you looking for an organic mattress? Ensure it has the required certifications, and the materials are of the highest quality. Do you want medium-firm foam firmness? Don’t forget to check mattress reviews.

Mattress Size

Generally, the bigger the mattress surface is, the more the mattress will cost. As mentioned before, the price also depends on other things, but if you have already set your eyes on a hybrid mattress, a Queen size will cost you less than a King size mattress.

Choosing the right mattress size depends on your height, how many people share the bed, and room size. Make sure you select the right mattress size, which can significantly impact comfort. You don’t want to sleep in a cramped, uncomfortable space just because you were trying to save a few bucks on a Queen size. Sure, two side sleepers take up less space, but not that little! Just go for a King size mattress.

The mattress size that will pay off the best – the one that fits your preferences and needs. Most mattresses are standard mattress sizes, like the Queen size and the King size mattress, but there are others as well.

Mattress size guide

Thickness

One of the things that people usually don’t pay enough attention to – is mattress thickness.

A mattress must have enough inches to fit support and comfort layers comfortably. A bed should be at least 7″ to ensure enough support and comfort. Most mattresses are 8″ to 11″.

The thicker the mattress is, the more it costs. It can also come with more layers than just support and comfort. A bigger mattress height means more space for transitional or double layers that create a flippable mattress.

Responsiveness and Bounce

Depending on the mattress material, some mattresses are bouncy, while some are not. Regarding responsiveness, choosing the right mattress is all about personal preferences.

Memory foam is known for its slow response. Some people love how this mattress surface molds slowly to your body, but others don’t. It gives a sinking feeling, which is especially weird for heavier sleepers.

On the other side of the spectrum, we have the latex mattress. Latex mattresses are known for their bounce and fast response. They can adapt to your body fast, making them a fun choice for couples and a good one for combination sleepers.

Innerspring mattresses are more on the bouncy side, and a hybrid mattress’ responsiveness will depend on the material the top layer is made from.

Temperature Regulation

Hey, hot sleepers! Are you sleeping well? Do you have a cooling mattress, or does it feel like being on fire

A mattress with good temperature regulation is crucial for hot sleepers. It just needs to be cooling and breathable. Firmness is also essential because a medium-firm to firm mattress will have less contact with the skin than a soft one.

Not all materials are the same. Traditional memory foam is notorious for trapping heat, so hot sleepers should avoid it. It’s a closed-cell material, and it isn’t breathable at all.

However, the mattress industry came up with some innovative solutions for cooling mattresses, like gel-infused memory foam and copper-infused memory foam. You can also get one with higher foam firmness.

Even though gel memory foam is good, it might not be for everyone. Other breathable mattress types, like an innerspring or latex mattress, might be a better choice. Even a memory foam hybrid can be cooling if made from suitable materials.

Edge Support

Support isn’t always just about keeping your spine aligned! Some people also need their mattresses to have good edge support.

For example, if you don’t sleep in the middle of the mattress, share a bed with someone, or if you like to sit on the edge of the bed, proper edge support is a must. You don’t want to roll off and fall!

Edge support depends on the mattress type. Getting a latex mattress or a memory foam mattress might be great for you, but be ready for lousy edge support. These mattress types usually just have higher foam firmness on the perimeter.

And if good edge support is something your bed absolutely must have, go for an innerspring mattress or a hybrid mattress. Their edges are made firmer with additional coils, making a bed that you definitely won’t fall off!

Off-Gassing

If you’re buying a bed in a box, get ready for some likely off-gassing.

If they’re packaged immediately after manufacturing, Mattresses store some gasses inside and need to air out for a couple of days. Off-gassing isn’t generally harmful, but some mattresses can let out volatile organic compounds (VOC), which you should keep your children away from.

If you want little to no off-gassing, you should look for an organic mattress. An organic mattress will still need to air out, but less than a memory foam mattress, and it’s chemical-free.

Motion Transfer

Do you share a bed with someone? Or do you just want to be able to keep things on your bed without them shaking or flying off when you move around? Then you should be looking for a mattress with good motion isolation.

Motion transfer happens most in mattresses with coils. So, if you want an innerspring or a hybrid mattress, expect motion transfer. Some of them can have pocketed coils, but these don’t help. The best mattress type for no-motion transfer is memory foam. It handles the impact well, so you can move around all you want. Latex mattresses are a close second, although they aren’t as good.

Body Weight

The perfect mattress for you will also depend on your body weight. The amount of pressure you put on a bed will help you define how firm it should be and even what mattress materials it should be made from.

Most people prefer a medium-firm mattress, but that’s not the perfect firmness for everyone. To make things easier, we split people into three weight categories.

Lightweight sleepers under 130lbs don’t put much pressure on a mattress. They should sleep on a bed that is extra-soft to medium-firm, depending on other factors. If a mattress is too firm, it’ll push against its pressure points too much, leading to pain.

Average weight sleepers from 130lbs to 230lbs should sleep on a soft, medium-firm to a firm mattress. It all depends on their sleeping position and personal preferences. Average weight stomach sleepers and average weight back sleepers can go for a medium-firm to a firm mattress, but side sleepers should definitely aim for the softer side.

Heavyweight sleepers over 230lbs need to sleep on a firmer, more supportive, and more durable mattress. A mattress for heavy sleepers should be medium-firm to even extra-firm, depending on their weight and preferred sleeping position. A bed that’s too soft will impact their spinal alignment and won’t be very durable. Firmer mattresses tend to last longer, and they’re also a better choice for hot sleepers.

Sleeping Position

Lastly, choosing a mattress also depends on your preferred sleeping position. Let’s see what you should look for based on how you like to sleep.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers are the most common type, and the good news is that they don’t need a lot to keep their spine aligned. A mattress for back sleepers should be on the firmer side to keep their hips and shoulders in the proper position. A medium-firm to a firm mattress should do just fine.

Regarding mattress types, any material can fit back sleepers, depending on its firmness and personal preferences.

Side Sleepers

The next most common sleeping position goes to side sleepers. Side sleepers need a bit better combination of support and comfort, though. A mattress for side sleepers should be supportive enough to keep their spine aligned and soft enough to let their hips and shoulders sink.

So, the best choice for side sleepers is a softer mattress to a medium-firm one, and the right mattress type could be a memory foam mattress, a memory foam hybrid mattress, or a latex mattress. Innerspring isn’t that good for side sleepers.

Stomach Sleepers

The least common sleeping position goes to stomach sleepers. Also, the sleep position of stomach sleepers might not be the best for their back. A mattress for stomach sleepers should be a medium-firm to a firmer mattress that won’t let their hips sink too much.

When it comes to mattress types, almost all will fit stomach sleepers. Although, memory foam beds might be too soft.

Combination Sleepers

Lastly, combination sleepers are known for moving around a lot in their sleep. That’s why combination sleepers need a supportive and comfortable mattress with a fast response that will fit their position no matter how they sleep. The best mattresses for them might be medium-firm ones.

The best choices for combination sleepers are latex mattresses and hybrid mattresses. Both types can be durable and supportive, respond quickly, and are comfortable; just make sure that the foam firmness isn’t too high.

Best Mattress Types for the Money

Now that you know what to look for when getting the best mattress for the money, let’s see what you’ll run into. Here’s what you should know about the most common best mattresses for the money.

Foam Mattresses

As the name suggests, all-foam mattresses are entirely made from foam layers. The support layer is usually made from polyfoam, while the comfort foam layers are most commonly made with memory foam.

An all-foam mattress is known for its softness, contouring, slow response, and overall comfort. Even though it’s usually soft, it can have varying foam firmness. It also relieves pressure, so look no further if you suffer back pain. A memory foam mattress can be a good option for side and lightweight sleepers.

However, since memory foam beds trap body heat, this mattress is not a good choice for hot sleepers. Also, its slow response and softness likely won’t feel comfortable to heavier sleepers, who’ll just feel like they’re stuck in its foam layers. Lastly, even though it can have varying foam firmness, it might be too soft for stomach sleepers.

Memory foam beds are usually in the lower price range, but it depends. For example, gel memory foam tends to be a bit more expensive but not too much.

Innerspring Mattresses

Innerspring beds are the oldest mattress type. They’ve been around for a while, but the mattress industry progressed, and other mattress types are preferred by most people now.

It’s made with metal coils in the support layer, with a thin comfort layer on top. Innerspring beds are known as durable and supportive, with good edge support. They’re also very breathable, making them a good choice for hot sleepers.

However, innerspring beds aren’t the way to go if you’re looking for a pressure-relieving mattress or motion isolation. They also aren’t very contouring, so side sleepers should definitely go for a softer mattress.

You’ll likely find an innerspring mattress in the lower price range, but additions like pocketed coils might set you back a bit more.

Hybrid Mattresses

Hybrid beds are created as a combination of two mattress types. The most common variety is metal coils in the support layer, with a latex or memory foam comfort layer. The whole point of the hybrid mattress is that it’s the best of both worlds!

Because of the springs, hybrid beds are supportive, durable, and breathable. The memory foam or latex top layer makes them comfortable, responsive, and softer. A hybrid mattress is a good choice for almost anyone, from side sleepers, stomach sleepers, combination sleepers, heavier sleepers, and hot sleepers.

Even the best hybrid mattress won’t have perfect motion isolation. Some hybrid beds are made with pocketed coils, but these still aren’t that good at isolation motion. A memory foam hybrid might have some issues with breathability. Lastly, hybrid mattresses tend to be in the higher price range.

Latex Mattresses

A latex mattress can be made from natural, synthetic, or blended latex. Even though natural latex is more luxurious, they all have similar abilities.

Latex is known as a bouncy and elastic material. It has higher foam firmness, but it will mold well to your body and is very supportive. It’s a good choice for all sleeping positions, even stomach sleepers and combination sleepers, hot sleepers, and heavy sleepers. Also, eco-conscious shoppers will be happy to know that organic mattresses are usually made from latex. This might be your new green mattress!

Latex doesn’t come with a lot of wrong sides. It’s not as contouring and pressure-relieving as memory foam, but it’s a better option for heavy and hot sleepers. The biggest downside is that it usually costs a lot, but if you can afford it, you should go for it.

Airbed

Airbeds are the least popular mattress option on the market. A lot of people don’t even know that they’re an option. When we say “airbed,” most people immediately think of a typical airbed for camping.

But, there are more advanced options out there. Airbeds get their support and firmness from the air chamber with an air level you can modify. This means you can change the firmness to what suits you, which is a plus.

However, airbeds don’t relieve pressure and don’t have the motion isolation you might be looking for in a mattress. Additionally, the better types are usually costly and still aren’t as durable as a hybrid mattress could be, for example.

Buying the Best Mattress for the Price

Getting the best mattress for the price isn’t just about the mattress itself; other factors also come into play. Here’s what you should know.

Budget

You should always set your budget before going shopping. You need to be aware of your price range.

Whether you’re looking for a luxury, a best-value mattress, or a budget mattress, you should ensure you’re getting the best deal possible. Besides using tricks like shopping for online mattresses, you should also look for deals and discounts. Most stores offer discounts around big holidays, like Labor day mattress sales, Presidents day, Memorial day, Black Friday, and other similar dates. This way, you can get a good mattress in the lower price range.

Online Shopping

As mentioned, buying a mattress online is usually more affordable, with a lower price range than brick-and-mortar stores. And online mattresses come with some other benefits.

Online mattress stores often come with free shipping, additional white glove delivery, longer warranties, a sleep trial, and more information about the product you’re buying.

You’re more likely to find a good mattress for the money in an online store.

Sleep Trial

Just because a mattress looks good on paper doesn’t mean it’s a perfect choice for you. But how can you know that? How can you test whether that foam firmness is the right fit for average-weight stomach sleepers?

Another big plus is that online mattress stores offer a sleep trial. A sleep trial lets you test a mattress for a specific period, after which you can send it back to the company if you don’t like it, and they’ll return your money. Let’s see whether those medium-firm mattresses are for you.

Sleep trials are beneficial and can last anywhere from 30 days to a full year. The most common one is the 100-night sleep trial. If you want the best mattress for your money, watch out for a good sleep trial offer.

Warranty

A warranty is a way for a company to say that their product is good, standing behind that statement. Even the best quality mattresses can come with manufacturing issues, and the company should fix them or get you a new bed if something occurs. If you want to get the best mattress for the money, ensure you get a lengthy warranty.

Do Your Research

Lastly, always do your research before finalizing the mattress purchase. Even though most stores will let you use a sleep trail, there’s no need to waste time testing a lousy mattress and then waiting for a new one.

Instead, check all the information, contact the seller and check the mattress review before choosing your new mattress. Are you looking for a green mattress? Make sure all of the certifications are legit.

Other Things to Keep in Mind

Getting a new mattress also often comes with additional costs. From mattress removal to buying new bed accessories, you need to be aware of the price range.

Getting Rid of Your Old Mattress

There are a couple of different ways to dispose of your old mattress. But, if you want to be mindful of your money, check whether the mattress company you’re getting the new bed from will also come to pick up your old mattress.

Other options include recycling centers, donations, and just getting it to a landfill.

White Glove Delivery

Are you sure you can set up the bed by yourself? Or do you need some extra help?

Online mattress stores offer white glove delivery. This way, they don’t just drop the mattress off at your doorstep but also help you set it up. White glove delivery can even include getting removing your old mattress.

It’s usually an extra cost, but sometimes mattress companies include white glove delivery in the offer.

Bed Accessories

If you’re getting a new mattress of a different size, remember that most of your bedding will be the wrong size. Pillows stay the same, but you’ll likely need to get new sheets and maybe even duvet covers.

A mattress protector is a must if you want your mattress to last, especially if you want a good deal for the money you spend on it.

Bed Frames

You’ll need a proper bed frame if you’re getting an entirely new bed with even different dimensions.

Bed frames can even be necessary for warranties. For example, if your mattress isn’t correctly supported, your warranty can be void since you weren’t taking care of it the way you should have been.

How much does a new mattress cost?

This question is a bit tricky to answer, as it depends on two factors:

  • Mattress size
  • Twin,
  • Twin XL,
  • Full (Double),
  • Queen,
  • King
  • California King.

And going by logic, different sizes are all priced differently. Most people buy Queen size, as it is large enough to fit two people, and you still save some space in the bedroom.

  • Airbeds (on the pricey side, some models use smart technology, which can bump up the price).

How can I extend the lifespan of my mattress?

An average lifespan of a mattress that’s sound quality is at least seven years. The industry-standard warranty length is ten years. But you can prolong its lifespan with proper care and maintenance.

First off, rotate your mattress every few months, 3 to 6 months. That way, you can spread out the usual wear and tear across the bed. Do not flip the mattress, especially if you have an innerspring or a hybrid mattress. There is a reason why the first layer is called the comfort layer.

Wash and change your bedding on the regular. It would be best if you did this every 1 to 2 weeks. Don’t forget to clean the mattress cover. Clean it every few months or spot clean it immediately after you spill something on it.

Also, it should go without saying that you shouldn’t make any alterations to the mattress. And though tempting, don’t jump on it too much.
