The first thing you notice about the Saatva mattress is its soft and breathable cover. The cover is made from 100% organic cotton, grown from non-GMO plants. The durable cover gives the bed a premium, luxurious 5-star hotel look.

It is also antimicrobial and hypoallergenic, to block harmful bacteria’s growth. Even though the cover is non-removable, it is easy to take care of. You can remove stains with some mild detergent and water.

Comfort Layer

What makes the Saatva mattress unique is the 3″ Euro pillow top. This comfort layer is stitched underneath the cotton cover, which gives it a cleaner look. In contrast to a conventional pillow top, it tends to be denser. That way it doesn’t lose its shape over time, making it durable. As it makes the mattress more padded, it makes the Saatva mattress look like a giant fluffy pillow.

Transitional layer

The transitional layer consists of individually wrapped coils, which are called comfort coils. Although they are smaller in size than the coils in the base of the Saatva mattress, they give some great bounce to the bed. Plush Soft is Saatva’s softest comfort level at 3. It is ideal for people that like extra contouring and soft, comfy mattresses. With a comfort level of 8, Firm is great for heavier body types and those that don’t like the feel of sinking into the mattress. Most customers choose Luxury Firm. Its level of comfort ranges from 5 to 7, making it a medium-firm mattress.

Side Sleepers

Combination Sleepers

Loom & Leaf

The Loom & Leaf is the Saatva company’s memory foam mattress. It is designed to offer sleepers great body-contouring and sinkage. The mattress is made with an eco-friendly 5-lbs memory foam.

The foam is infused with Saatva’s special cooling gel which doesn’t trap heat during the night. It also provides additional comfort and lumbar support.

It is a slightly more expensive model than the Saatva Classic, as its starting price for the Twin Size model is $887. With proper upkeep, Saatva Loom & Leaf can last you up to 15 years.

It’s available in all standard mattress sizes with a height of 12″. Like the Saatva Classic, you can choose two different comfort levels: Relaxed Firm (5-7) and Firm (8). This mattress is a top pick for couples and side sleepers. According to the website, the Firm version is also suitable for back and stomach sleepers.

Saatva Latex Hybrid

If you are in the market for an eco-friendly, natural, and organic latex hybrid mattress, then the Saatva Latex Hybrid might be the perfect choice for you.

It is more expensive than the Saatva Classic and Loom & Leaf models, with the starting price of $1,149 for a Twin Size mattress. The mattress is 13″ tall and available in all sizes, except for the Split California King.

Solaire Adjustable

The Saatva Youth is available in three sizes: Twin, Twin XL, and Full. It is also 10″ thick. Youth mattress, i.e., mattress for children, are typically cheaper than mattress meant for adults.

Thanks to its design, you don’t need to buy a new bed as your child grows up. You only need to flip it – one side fits children ages 3 to 7, the other aged 8 to 12.

Like other Saatva models, the mattress is hypoallergenic and made with organic material. It is also a water-resistant finish and internal waterproof barrier. This makes it easy to clean up any spills or accidents.

Zenhaven Latex

Zenhaven Latex is another dual-sided mattress from Saatva. What makes this mattress special is that it is made from 100% natural Talalay latex and organic thermoregulating wool straight from New Zealand. The latex makes the mattress both hypoallergenic and antimicrobial.

It doesn’t come in Split California King Size, but like Saatva Youth, you can choose the firmness of the bed by simply flipping it over:

Saatva HD

No, HD doesn’t stand for High Definition; it stands for Heavy Duty. Saatva HD is designed to give support and relief for sleepers that weigh between 300 and 500 pounds.

It is available in all sizes except Split California King and is the tallest mattress out of all Saatva’s models at the height of 15.5″. It is similar to the Saatva Classic, but it’s more durable as it uses 12.5-gauge tempered steel base coils.

What may turn some people away is the price, as it is more expensive than the Saatva Classic, second only to the Solaire.

Their website also suggests that you pair it up with their Saatva HD foundation, but you can also put it on a box spring or a solid platform bed frame with vertical center support with no slats. Also, avoid placing the mattress on an adjustable base, as it will not flex. that weigh between 300 and 500 pounds.

Mattress Prices & Sizes

Saatva mattress is available in all standard sizes, but it also has two additional sizes:
Split King and Split California King.

What does it mean when the mattress is split? A Split King or a Split California King means that the King/California King mattress is split in half. The mattress is the same size as the regular, but each half is the same as a Twin XL size mattress. Split mattresses make an excellent choice for couples with different sleep preferences. They reduce disturbance for both partners during sleep time.

Additionally, the Saatva Classic is available in two heights, 11.5″ and 14.5″, so you can choose which one you prefer. Still, 14.5″ may be too high for some people.

If you are a couple, you should note that the 14.5″ model uses deep pocket sheets. It’s not recommended to pair it up with an adjustable base. As previously mentioned, there are three different firmness options, but this doesn’t influence the price.

Warranty

Free Shipping

Saatva offers free shipping from any of their 145 fulfillment centers across America. It’s important to mention that it doesn’t ship directly to Hawaii and Alaska. But they can arrange delivery through a freight forwarder in California or Seattle. Saatva also ships to Canada but doesn’t offer the option of free shipping.

What if you order the wrong size Saatva mattress or your order is damaged? You can send it back with their drivers or exchange it for a new one at no charge.
